HARRISBURG – Sen. Dawn Keefer (R-31) will host a telephone town hall on Wednesday, July 1, at 2 p.m., with special guest Rep. Wendy Fink (R-94) to discuss their proposal to eliminate school property taxes and replace them with a fairer, more stable funding model for Pennsylvania’s public schools.
The event will provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about the School Property Tax Elimination Act, ask questions and share their concerns about rising property taxes.
“No one should be one life event away from losing their home,” Keefer said. “For too long, Pennsylvania has relied on a broken property tax system that unfairly burdens seniors, working families and homeowners. My legislation is designed to fix that by replacing it with a modern, sustainable approach.”
Pennsylvania residents who wish to join the town hall can sign up or listen live at www.senatorkeefer.com/access-live. Participants who register will automatically be called and connected to the town hall when it begins.
