I had a great conversation with R.J. Harris on the R.J. Harris Morning Show about the ongoing PA state budget negotiations.
It’s officially budget season in Pennsylvania, with the 2025–26 budget due by June 30, but we’re already facing challenges. Last year, the state overspent by $3.5 billion, putting us in a tough spot before this fiscal year even begins.
See link in my bio to tune in to my interview and hear what steps we need to take to right-size the budget and ensure Pennsylvania’s long-term fiscal health.

Plan ahead! PennDOT’s latest roadwork schedule for York and Cumberland counties is now available. Stay on time and skip the delays!

Happy Father’s Day! Today, we celebrate the remarkable fathers in our lives and communities who wear many hats as providers, protectors, mentors, and role models.
Whether they’re coaching Little League, teaching life lessons, fixing what’s broken, or simply being a steady presence, dads show us the meaning of love through quiet strength and everyday sacrifices.
Thank you to all the fathers and father figures who give so much for their families. We honor and appreciate you today and always.

June is Dairy Month and it`s the perfect time to recognize the hardworking farmers who power one of PA’s most vital industries!
PA ranks 2nd in the nation for the number of dairy farms, with 4,850 across the state. We’re also 8th in the U.S. for milk production. Our dairy industry supports over 47,000 jobs and generates $11 billion in annual revenue.
Here are a few local highlights from York and Cumberland counties (based on 2017 data):
🐮 York County ranks 2nd in the state for the number of farms, with 2,067 farms covering more than 252,000 acres with a market value of products sold of over $260 million
🐮 Cumberland County ranks 7th in PA for milk production, with 240 dairy farms. In 2003, dairy contributed $46 million to the economy.
Join me, along with Kyle and Aidan from the PA Dairymen`s Association, in raising a glass of milk (or in our case, a milkshake) as we toast the dairy industry for its incredible contributions to Pennsylvania’s economy and our everyday lives.

Right now, there’s no criminal penalty in PA for government officials who destroy or alter public records related to a Right-to-Know request. We passed legislation to make this outrageous breach of trust a felony.

On June 4th, I stood with fellow lawmakers and policy advocates to stress the importance of holding the line on PA’s state budget at $47.9 billion.
For over 30 years, PA`s population has grown older, smaller and poorer, yet state spending continues to climb. We must act now to protect taxpayers, prioritize essential services and cut waste to avoid new or higher taxes.

I had the honor of meeting Trey Howard, the 10-year-old hero from Northeast Philadelphia who courageously shielded his younger sister when a medical transport jet crashed into their neighborhood near the Roosevelt Mall.
Trey was a guest of @senatorpicozzi at the Capitol this week and it was a privilege to meet this incredible young man in person.
Meeting Trey reminded me how powerful empathy and courage can be, even in the face of unimaginable danger. His bravery is inspiring to all of us and we continue to pray for his full recovery.
You can read about Trey`s story by clicking on the link in my bio.

This week I had the pleasure of welcoming @scouting.america to the PA Capitol for their annual Report to the Commonwealth.
It was especially great to connect with Joshua Myers of Troop 67 in Dover, a proud representative from my district.
Thank you to all the Scouts and leaders who continue building character, leadership and service in our communities!
